Lord Boshkar has dispatched an envoy to the city, to assure the Council of his peaceful intentions.  His envoy is his son-in law, a general in his small but well trained army.  The Council know that he is here to spy and so they show him the Norinth and the defences of the city as well as recount to him what history has shown happens to Norek’s enemies.

The murder is currently under investigation by Captain James of the Sentinels and he is being pushed by the other members of the Council for results.  Particularly because of the upcoming visit of Lord Boshkar's envoy from Vorn.

The victim was Gustav Morony, he was the personal assistant of Guthrin, the Commerce Councilor.  Guthrin's large intelligence network caught wind of a drug-smuggling operation going on between Norek and Lethys.  A caravan was due in the city within the month, but Gustav did not detail which one, only saying that the ship had landed at Cynar and was being observed by agents mentioned only by their codenames - Bill & Ted.  Apparently Ted had booked passage on the ship back to Lethys, hoping to discover more information about the source of the drug.  Ted had drawn against the treasury to hire a band to follow the caravan, but has not been heard from since.

Temple of Cay & Innlotu Pahal snippets

And Cay delivered us from the evil of the Unlife and to honour this mighty lord a great temple was erected.  The people of this land came from miles around to offer tribute.  And the lord was most pleased and the temple and its clerics were blessed.

A great Paladin - Innlotu Pahal - fell in battle with the Unlife near the end of the Second Era and as buried in the nearby Temple of Cay.  Great protective enchantments were laid over him as the forces of darkness rose against them.  The temple was magically sealed and the clerics took up their weapons and prepared their mightiest spells as the Unlife swept down the hill in a black fog of destruction and evil.
