As the characters round a bend in the track, they come to a
hill that leads downwards into a wide valley.
From up here they can see the valley laid out before them. There are high cliffs on the left hand side and anyone with
good PER sees an enormous dragon leap from the cliffside and swoop, eerily
silent along the valley floor. As they look ahead they see a village built among the
trees. Looks like a human
settlement to them. There is a
water tower, a rough stockade around the town. As they watch the dragon rears up, drawing a mighty breath.
You are more than a mile away but the scene of devestation is terrible to
behold. The huge tail, whips down, cutting buildings in half and
powdering stone. It’s wings rip
rooves from buildings as they beat together.
The dragon stops and launches itself high in the sky.
It turns about 100 metres above the village and dives.
He looks like a comet as his breath ignites.
Strafing the village, he coats it in a thick, roiling flame. And that folks, is why dragons and Rolemaster are dangerous. |
