The Cloudlords were the Royal Guard trained to ride the Steardent (basically like Pegasi but not possessing intelligence of the same calibre). Cloudlords maintained order within the realm until shaken by betrayal where some were poisoned by the agents of the Unlife. The remainder were unable to defend from the flying beasts which swept in from the Grey mountains. The few survivors locked themselves in the halls and were not seen in Tanara again.
